A little help
with your calculator.

Percentage conventions vary. Check the percentage rule and operation order in Settings. When comparing answers, use the same rules in both calculators.

Tap the expression and use its selection controls or the Edit expression menu. Copy the selected result after equals, or select a portion of your working. To paste, tap the expression and choose Paste from the text menu.

Press and hold Delete to keep erasing, then release to stop. Use Undo if you remove more than intended.

Open Settings and turn off haptics. Your choice is saved for the next time you open the app.

Check whether the active angle unit is DEG or RAD, and check the operation order. A trigonometric expression can give a different answer when the angle unit changes.

Choose Scientific → Tools. The All tab searches across functions and templates. Math has functions such as combinations, GCD and coordinate conversion; Stats has datasets and regression; Verify compares expressions; Textbook has fraction, power and root templates; Values stores named variables.

No. Verify compares the numerical values of two expressions using the selected comparison. Exact numerical comparison is the default; an optional tolerance allows small rounding differences. It does not perform symbolic algebra or prove identities.

Open Scientific → Tools → Textbook and choose Fraction or Mixed fraction as the result format. Supported rational expressions are reduced exactly within the tool’s number limits. Constants and transcendental functions may require a decimal approximation. Engineering notation displays powers of ten in multiples of three.

Bases uses a fixed number size: 8, 16, 32 or 64 bits. A value outside that size wraps into the available range, and the calculator shows a warning. Tap the bit-size control and choose 64 bit for larger whole numbers, or use Basic for ordinary arithmetic. Even 64 bit has a limit. Saved history keeps the number-limit warning when you reuse a wrapped result.

The result uses a smaller font when needed, with a minimum size to keep it readable. Open the result area for the full calculation view when the expression or answer needs more room. Number-format settings control grouping, decimal places and exponent notation.

Unpin it first, then delete it. Pinned calculations are kept until you choose to unpin and remove them.

Calculations, physical unit conversions, memory, history, rent equivalents and compound-interest projections work offline. Currency, Bitcoin and gold need internet access for the first rate download and refresh. The last saved rates remain available offline with their date; rates older than two days are flagged. Ads, web pages and support email also use an internet connection.

Yes. Download Calculator by Xidents from the App Store for iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 18 or later. Android is not yet publicly available.

Tap More, then Unit conversions or Finance. Unit conversions has search and favourite categories. Finance contains Compound interest.

Choose a category, enter an amount, and select From and To. Swap reverses a valid pair. Edit your pins to keep up to ten common results, or open View all unit equivalents. Inputs and selections are remembered. Supported units accept fractions and compound inputs such as 5:8 for feet:inches.

No. They use daily reference rates from Exchange API, with a source date and Refresh control. A network failure keeps the last valid cache. Entered amounts and selected pairs are not sent to the rate service. Reference rates can differ from transaction prices and fees.

Cooking weight depends on the ingredient and how it is packed. Select the ingredient before converting between volume and mass. Choose the labelled US, Imperial or metric/Australian measure; the weights are approximate reference values.

Open More → Unit conversions → Rent periods and edit any period. The last edited amount becomes the source. Choose the annual basis explicitly: 365 days, 366 days, 52 weeks or 360 days. Monthly and longer periods are average fractions of that year, not a dated bill or lease rule.

Open More → Finance → Compound interest. Set the initial amount, regular contribution, annual rate and duration. Choose contribution timing and compounding frequency independently. Select a year on the graph or accessible year slider to inspect growth. The selected currency labels amounts; it does not convert them. Projections assume a constant rate and exclude fees, tax and inflation.

Time zones use the selected date so daylight-saving rules can be applied. Number conversion separates ASCII text from numeric inputs. Size guides link their named references and may not match every brand. Blood glucose and radiation tools convert units only.

Yes. The app adapts its layout for iPhone and iPad in portrait and landscape. Text scaling has upper limits for dense workspaces so controls remain usable. Long content may still need scrolling; the full calculation view helps with longer expressions.

Use the share icon on the calculator to share the expression, a labelled total and relevant mode settings. Converters share their selected result. History also offers sharing. You choose the destination in the system share sheet.

No. Xidents Calc is free to use and supported by banner advertising. Banners sit below your tools, separate from calculation controls. The app has no full-screen ad breaks, and calculations remain available when an ad cannot load.

Where required, Google’s consent service presents advertising privacy choices before ads are requested. Open Settings → Ad privacy choices to review your choices when that option is available. Your calculations are not sent for ad targeting. See the privacy policy for details about the information processed by advertising services.
